He was born in 1923. In 1946 he began to work as draughtsman at Ditta Frangi in Milan completing his training as interior decorator and designer. He designed furniture for the Frangi Collection and lighting fixtures for O-Luce, the oldest Italian lighting design company that is still active today. The modular bookcase F54, his most popular piece, was designed in 1954 and it is still in production. In 1965 he took an artisan carpentry workshop over where he used to produce a small number of pieces of the Frangi collection until 1980, when he sold the workshop and began to work as a designer on a full-time basis.
